Targeted Completion Dates

That's what I call them.  Other people call them "deadlines."  You can make up your own story as to why I do not choose to use that word.  I explain it in detail in my book, LIVE WITH INTENTION.

I am an artist.  Responding to visual cues comes naturally to me. Daily I enjoy looking at this miniature target. My tasks are grouped there in a way that makes sense to my concept of priority in the day.  It's fun, at the end of the day, to see how many of the targeted projects come off the board.
Some days more remain than come off - because, as you know, certain tasks in the day, don't get written down or anticipated in advance.  Life spills over the edges of the best laid plans.  Yet another reason I call them targeted completions.  I aim.  Some days I get closer than others.  But such visual supports help me "up my game" and stay closer to the things that really matter.  There are some days my target board is replaced with a single poster of mine. It reads, "Remember what matters?  Do that."

An exciting target that I'd love to share with you can be found at my friend, Dr. Deanna Davis's web site.  In fact, let me just share what Dr. Davis had to say earlier today...
